Established in Howell, Michigan, MKJ Companies has specialized in a variety of business and real estate developments, planting deep roots throughout the State for almost 25-years. Founder and owner Michael K. Jonna has dedicated himself to develop and operate all his endeavors in a first-class manner. With faith and hard work Michael established Jonna’s Market in 1999 with a desire to serve the Howell community. As the community grew, and Michael’s attitude to always strive to improve, not only his own endeavors but the community around him, the property that Jonna’s Market is currently on was re-developed into Howell Crossings, the first-class commercial property located on N. Michigan Avenue in Howell, Michigan.
In 2017, Michael saw a need for a local restaurant with great food and exceptional service, establishing Jonna’s Bar & Grill in Howell. Building upon the success of the first restaurant, and always striving to serve every community with a first-class endeavor, a second Jonna’s Bar & Grill was opened in New Hudson in 2020. Despite the Covid-19 Pandemic, a second Jonna’s Market was – opened in Brighton, Michigan, offering a full-service convenience store and high-end kitchen to serve the local community.
The past decade has seen MKJ Companies continue to develop its portfolio of both residential and commercial real estate with multiple acquisitions of multifamily and industrial properties throughout the State of Michigan. Michael is very involved with the community, having roles with Howell’s Chamber of Commerce and is a board trustee at Cleary University.
